zero limit credit card?

Chaps can you link me to a credit card with literally a spending limit of zero or as close as possible ( Im after a merchant rebate long story). Googled endlessly but it doesnt understand what I need there must be one? cheers !

What use would a zero limit credit card be? you couldn't buy anything with it.

A credit card with Zero limit is a bit pointless so the only real use would be a handy ice scraper in winter!

I think he is after a card that you load up with money to spend. Not sure if we do that here in the UK?

They do exist, but aren't they really prepaid debit cards?

I don't think any card provider is going to issue a card with a zero spend limit - what's the point?

However, many will let you apply to reduce your limit after you have their card. But if you apply for a zero limit, they could just cancel the card.

If you want to be sure of a low limit, one of the 'bad / no credit history' cards might be suitable e.g. Luma has a maximum limit of £1.5k.

There's plenty of pre-paid cards for foreign travel,

Otherwise just apply for a normal card and knock the limit right down once you have if (although I have no idea what the minimum allow would be).

I’m guessing that he doesn’t want to have a strenuous credit check carried out and only wants it for one specific purpose as he said although that seems a bit strange.
A quick Google says maybe look at the Foundation cc through Tesco bank with a £250 probable limit.

Its a bit hard to recommend a credit card with zero limit unless we know what interest rate the OP is preapred to pay on his zero borrowings!

Also OP, do you want to do a zero balance transfer onto the card? And if so how many months would you like to have interest free on the transfer? Let me guess

It does sound like what you want is a pre-pay debit card. The spending limit is whatever you load onto it, so it's as low as you want it to be.

Something like Revolut.

So you are a merchant?

I assume you are saying you want to put through some £0.01 transactions to get a rebate?

You can get credit repair cards with low limits £100 or so, supposed to be for people with very poor credit to rebuild their record. Limit increased in time provided they can prove responsibility.

Maybe there's a fee, I know they used to be 50% interest charges on any balances.
