I can attest to the fact that the 2CV is an excellent car to own. Great community who will always acknowledge you when you pass, (mostly older hippy types, obv) but it is so very quirky (windows that fold up; no internal door handles; front vent under windscreen that you wind up and down; rear seats that are easily removable for picnic use etc) and frankly, so slow that there is no expectations of speed. Uphill trying to overtake a lorry is hilarious! Sadly, my (current) wife wont let me buy one!

Peugeot 207 Elle CC, the girls version. But is comes with bespoke leather trim and finished to a high standard. I can't think of any car that a powerfully built director wouldn't touch with a stick.

I have an inexplicable want to come up with a reason to buy a Mitsubishi Shogun. I have no idea why.

I can confidently say that if you had one you'd never want another. My niece had one, one of the worst cars I have ever driven. She was rather relieved when it got written off.

Bought it last year to keep forever as my trusty runabout.

Seat Mii 1.0 60bhp 3 door.

£20 Rfl

No fancy driving aids, no stop/start, no Petrol particulate filter..

It's refreshingly simple.

Jensen interceptor for me but having wasted a lot of money on a Merc CL500 I have had enough and bought something sensible.

A Citroen c3 ‘ rip curl’, in white. A small, white goods box but somehow very appealing.
