Yep it's all a bit mad. Some interesting corporate shenanigans have gone on over the years as well (look up the VW/Porsche short squeeze in 2008)

Defo, a shady company. Speaking to Porsche customer service today with regards one of their centers, they denied that Porsche GB owns the centers named and said they are independent business not owned by them. When asked who they are owned by the said they are owned by themselves

It says on the website they're wholly owned by Porsche GB.

Who are Porsche customer service though?

Call any of the main VAG companies and you're talking to a 3rd party call centre - they're not VW Group employees.

Porsche customer service, based at Reading. Apparently Porsche Reading is head office for Porsche GB,but they might deny that!

If you have an issue then I think Trading Standards would seek clarification on this as they want people to know who the owners are.
