come on, let's have some criticisms about them possibly making cars abroad and teaming up with others. Ford, Nissan, GM, Honda, Peugeot, VW etc etc are all so wrong or is only MGR that would be wrong to do it?

Excellent that they have decided to go for expansion by aquisition and partnership. It is the only way for any car company to survive - something Fiat stopped doing recently. Ownership rather than where the product is made is the key. In the long run it is better to have International British companies rather than governement's pandering to inward investment. Look at the example led by some of the electronics companies that have left the UK. At the end of the day it is where the taxes are paid and intellectual property that are the inportant issues.

By the way it the Hunter (Arrow) that is made in Iran not Avender

I'm all for business intergration to maintain a business and or brand but, i know VW are succeeding with Skoda etc but why the F**k an old Daewoo factory in Poland? And Tatia and Brilliance!I'd rather see MG knuckle down for another couple of years, Make their UK plant the most efficient in Europe then make a move! They haven't got a decent car design to build yet! As for their new MG X power SV well!! I'm all for 'show me the beef' but a Vauxhall Calibre with a body kit!!
Wheres their 400bhp MGZT??

That's a very good point. The V8 saloon was a very sexy proposition which seems to have fallen by the wayside.

The V8 saloons and estates are coming. They are currently doing hot weather testing in the USA. Never fear, they WILL be here!

The Polish factory is a very well equipped one - just because it's in Poland, don't think it isn't at least as good as any other in Europe. Daewoo's loss can be MG-R's gain.

Thanks.
