This seems like a no brainer to me. First Direct are offering £175 to switch accounts to them again.

Are any other banks offering similar? I've already done the FD one a while back.

It's a bloody shame they won't pay me £175 to stay.

I rather object to banks 'buying' new customers like this. But loyalty went in the bin year ago; the big thing these days is how many times a day you can change everything by hoovering up special offers - which we all pay for in the end.

You can get up to £200 and you can switch from one to the next etc to grab all of the introductory offers...

Be aware - in their terms, a lot of banks stipulate you don't get the reward if you've switched to them previously within a certain timeframe.

If as you mentioned you've switched to First Direct before, you may not get the reward this time around.

In the process of doing HSBC athough the offer has closed now, £200. I needed an extra DD on the account, so subbed to Autoexpress for £1.

Not only their loyal customers...

I switched to Nationwide last year (November or December) and received £200. I then received the £100 from their profit sharing last month.

Bit of a con Nationwide to be honest. I would say, having had an account for over 20 years with them I would be deemed 'loyal', but alas, they determined anyone with an ISA wasn't eligible

I've had about £1,000 in a Nationwide savings account for 20+ years waiting for them to demutualise... didn't hear about any loyalty bonus. Maybe the account needs to be used?
