“Telephone” switch on Vanquish steering wheel crack
Discussion
Hi all. I have a 2016 Vanquish and somehow the telephone switch cap has cracked off and gone missing from the steering wheel (see attached pic). God knows how - suspect clumsy valeter but only just noticed so no point trying to take it up with him now.
Any ideas on getting it sorted? Ideally a cap from a salvage Vantage/Vanquish wheel but somehow I get the feeling I doubt I’ll be that lucky! ??

You can buy just the switches from here so you don't have to buy a whole new steering wheel. They're very expensive for what they are though so see if you can find one on ebay etc first.

Vantage wheel control set is different, but the Rapide had the same type as the Vanquish.
They are a little bit cheaper on AstonMartinbits, plus they have a used one there too, although its got a little bit of damage. You maybe able to combine yours and that one to make one perfect one, for half the cost of the scudparts website.

A recycler of accident vehicles in Italy offers the part for EUR 273. Whereas he offers the practically identical part on the other side of the steering wheel for only EUR 170. In my experience, these dealers are always happy to find a buyer who wants the part and are willing to negotiate.

Don't forget shipping costs and customs!
Maybe an enquiry at Aston Works might also be helpful.
Good luck!

UPDATE: emailed Aston Martin Works parts dept on the offchance they might have a spare switch cap laying around… and they did, posting it to me free of charge! Well happy, and big thumbs up to Works. It’s little things like that that *REALLY* makes a difference to brand loyalty and customer satisfaction :-)

You will probably find the original one now hiding under a seat.
