Meet my new LR Defender 110. I never actually intended to own one, a chance visit with SWMBO to our local LR dealer and deposit was put down on a Yulong white 110 with adventure pack, khaki interior and some custom paint.

Asking the dp about modifications and what wouldn't affect the warranty, two companies were suggested that wouldn't affect warranty, KAHN and URBAN.

As it was February at time of deposit, this left plenty of time for idle hands to look at the options from URBAN. I've never really been a fan of KAHN defenders, they don't look very OEM+ to me.

A few weeks later and huge amount of emails to URBAN later, this lot turned up in sunny Philippines. I also asked URBAN to powder coat the wheels in yulong ahead of shipping.

Whilst waiting for the car to go into build and then sit on a boat to the Philippines, wheels were sent to have rubber. Genuine LR TPMS installed at same time to save any future issues.

Wheels looks rather large compared to my other cars...

With wheels taken care of, it was time to decide on choice of green, I planned on painting parts of the car in a contrasting colour to the metallic Yulong white.

It ultimately came down to two choices, Ferrari green jewel and Aston Martin iridescent emerald.

As you'll have worked out from the thread title, the beautiful AM colour won. Paint code given to LR dealer, it was time to wait for the plain, boring ugly duckling to arrive.

End of May comes around and it's here!

You get the picture, dull white car with khaki interior.

Next came the sit down with the DP to go over every modification and produce a master file for all techs to follow.

If you've made it this far, I won't bore you further, here is a few pics from collection day

Still can't believe LR dealer agreed to install/paint and give warranty on the modifications!

Thanks for reading.

Wow, that’s certainly different, I like it. Think the WX-3 wheels are one of my favourite, even contemplating a set for mine but not sure how easy they will be to clean.

I really like those wheels! I think the whole car would look better in the AM green though, what an awesome colour smile

Reading through, thinking ‘Christ this is going to look awful!’ Then getting to the pics and thinking ‘actually that looks pretty sweet!’

I was seriously thinking the colour combo wouldn't work, but it kind of does. FWIW I think it looks pretty damn good. People seldom change the newer LR's and imo it takes a fair amount of balls to do this to a new one, and it works.

My wife is from the Philippines, Bacoor. We often go there for our hols to see the family and have a house there.

OP, get yourself a matching watch Honda Seiko Cub in Green / white!!

Def think it is my new fave colour, if I’m lucky enough to spec a new Aston in the future, it will be in this colour.

Hoping with a ceramic coat, quick blast with the pressure washer is all that is needed.

quite common from what I see for people to just black everything out, I just find it boring.

Next time you're over, drop me a PM, I'm in Alabang.

That looks disgusting…
…ly good.

Really like the colour combo and for trying something different with it.

It sort of looks like an official/OEM support vehicle for a high-end sports event, like a rally or regatta.

Hope you are able to post more updates!

I’m going to say it , I think it looks awful. The thing is it’s yours and as long as you like it then fair play. Modifications are different for every person and are sometimes regional too so as I said not for me but it’s yours so enjoy, I love my 110.

Thanks and the OEM+ look was something I kind of wanted.

Next update is first tank of fuel almost gone, very similar in mileage to my Velar, and at least twice the mileage to a tank compared to my RS4 biglaugh

It is is also due for a detail/PPF/ceramic coat this week.

Also love my 110 and super happy Land Rover agreed to install and paint before delivery so it is like a dealer special. I do not subscribe to the regional part, I believe there is people with a little more eccentric taste worldwide.

Wait until you see the John Deere themed 90 that is coming for SWMBO biglaugh
