Just had my renewal offer through, it’s up by £500!

We have three cars on it with Admiral. The car I’ve had by far the longest is my Evo which is now off the road for the foreseeable future. Is that the car that my 10+ years no claims will be associated with?
Of the other 3 cars the Corvette I’ve had 4 years…..does my 10+ years of driving with no claims now no longer exist and I’ve suddenly dropped to 4 because the Evo isn’t insured any more?

That’s the only reason I can imagine my offer is £500 higher?

No claims isn’t tied to a car.

You’re best calling them up and asking what no claims has been applied and where.

Insurance has also gone up in general so could be that.

These multi car policies (if that's what you have ?) seem to be b*locks.

I found it cheaper getting two different policies even starting again with no NCD on the second car.

A*sholes.

Yeah multi car. I’ll def shop around for better.

Also, can I insure a car for half the year? Corvette is only on the road 6 months a year….

You’ll find the NCD makes little difference other than to young drivers.

Admiral priced themselves out of my home insurance last autumn, 3 seperate police’s were a lot cheaper and better cover than even their revised offer.

I’d still shop around if you can.

My renewal was 750 ish (2x Mrs Metro bumps
In period) but an online search brought that down to 349 about 3 weeks before renewal, but with a chunky excess (600)

That deal wasn’t available, when I got my finger out, 2 weeks later but 589 was.

I think you would be better off applying the 10yrs NCB to the Corvette policy or the third car. Then you will not lose those 10yrs NCB. This would sacrifice the 4yrs NCB on the Corvette policy.

Not that NCB is really worth much. Don't understand why people get so hung up on it.

Really? Didn't realise that, always assumed the NCB was a massive deal!

Guess Admiral are just doing what everyone else in the world is doing and hiking prices! Will shop around this week.
