I've had Nitrons on my Tuscan for about 20 years and been happy with them but, following them being condemned as beyond economical repair when I sent them in for a service recently, I've switched to the Core1 kit from Race Shocks. A bit of a step up in cost from the Nitrons but having spoken to a couple of people that use them, the digressive valve set up makes them a lot more compliant over smaller bumps.

If you have the original, red,Harvey Bailey dampers, then any replacement is likely to be better.
Consider Sagaris spring rates and Nitrons or contact Ben Lang ,for a chat about Bilsteins and spring options.
