Cornwall - 2 humans, 2 dogs, pants weather - Help!

Tomorrow we are off to Cornwall for 2 nights. We will be staying near Launceston, this is a surprise weekend for Mrs geeks for our wedding anniversary. Originally I had planned a fair few day time things to do, drive down to Lands End, a couple of accessible (required for Mrs geeks on a scooter) walking trails, take the dogs to the beach etc. However weather now looks pants, like properly pants. Ordinarily not an issue as with just two people you can normally find indoor things to do but we will have the two dogs with us so that pretty much rules anything like that out.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Or are we just doomed to two days in a holiday cottage staring at the rain? Pretty annoyed its put a downer on the weekend to the point where I am questioning if it is worth the 5 hours each way now.

Dog access is restricted at Eden.

What's wrong with the beach in the wet? If you know it's raining then dress accordingly!

Convincing Mrs geeks to trapse around in the wet on a mobility scooter might be a little difficult, it sounds trivial but even with some warmth you get pretty cold in the rain sat still on one of those things. I dunno, could just be me being sulky as its not the weekend I had planned for us, we'll make the most of it I'm just pissed off

With some notice I could have but its a bit late now as we leave tomorrow.

There are plenty of Cornish dog sitters a quick google should find one.
Most pubs are dog friendly too.

I love a good storm. I'd find her a decent pub and a book then go out and get blown about a clifftop with the dogs.

Seal sanctuary welcome dogs, if the weather's not good it should be a bit quieter too. Some shelter so you could try and dodge the showers?

No I meant where you are! I was going to offer to look after the dogs if it was feasible!

Jo Downs gallery and workshop in Launceston is worth a pop in if you like modern glassware. We generally have a look round on route to Padstow. At least it is dry!
