Hi all,
where do you all download your video's to? I have a couple of websites but they would soon be full up if I started to download video's to them. Ian seems to be an expert here,do you use a host or do you have a huge space on your own site?

If they're to do with cars I think PistonHead TV will host them. Other than that, I think you'll need to buy some space - it's not expensive; ask Muncher or Jamie Beeston.

Hi Phil,

You can ask John who sorts www.phea.co.uk and has several of mine linked from my own website, but I think he may be able to host direct as well if he thinks it`s worthy! These days I actually upload mine to www.pistonheads.tv and am considering my own websites future now as there are no limits for bandwidth on Pistonheads where as my website nearly had to shut down for "The Bucket & spade raid" video as so many people downloaded it!

John beat me to it while I was typing - yes, my present host is Jamie Beeston www.register1.net and he has been very helpful. Try Muncher as well though as he is a PHea r - I didn`t know this until now!

Thanks all for that, I didnt know pistonheads would host them. My site would take them but I have to dial up to load to it, it will not allow me to use broadband to upload, but it was cheap

I can certainly give you a link to somewhere if it's relevant to PHEA, but I just got a bandwidth warning so am avoiding video for now! I think if you want to do more hosting, especially for video, it's worth asking one Jamie or Muncher and buying your own bit of cyberspace that you can do whatever you like in. IIRC I pay about £40/year for 250Mb, which is far more space than I need but it's the bandwidth that is the practical limit, in my experience at least. I have about 10 different websites in it and quite a lot of photos.

That's a subtle way of saying 'we don't want to host anything.' Cheeky buggers.

Hi Phil, I put one up on Sunday as well. It usually takes a day or so depending on if PetrolTed is there to check them - and I think he is away on the Eurohoon at present so it may take a bit longer!!

You will get an email "we liked it" etc - or I assume "we didn`t like it" but I`ve never had one of those!

I know your film will be great because I remember seeing your first attempt!

If you make the "Flying pig" raid and do some filming, we will have to share footage!

Hi Jamie, fancy joining us for a "live" raid?

Bad luck with the video upload Phil, it seems you (and I on this occasion) sent it just as PT went galavanting around Europe for I believe 10 days?!

So I guess he didn't know we were sending him a video or he would have stayed at home

Looks interesting - but unless I`m reading it wrong, viewers have to pay?
