Good evening gentlemen.
A screen shot from our Tamora at work.
Car runs well but this code 4 comes up and I can hear a buzzer sounding constantly.
EFI FAULT also appears as soon as I turn the key.
Can someone give me an idea of what’s wrong here.
Also where are the up/down buttons for cancel please.

The buttons are on a plinth behind the steering wheel..here is my old one, as have my switches ON the Trek steering wheel now (as this was showing through the steering wheel).



You need to search/read up on the EFi fault...several options

Re the buttons as you can see mine has been modified so that it was hidden by another steering wheel 'arms' BUT was visible on the Momo trek so I modded mine to be on the actual arms. The info of how to scroll through the dash configuration is in the manual.

Re the EFi code (I have not read up on it as I have not had an issue with it)
I would be re-doing the main earth from the battery (it locks up from the battery side BUT when then the nut is added in the foot well side the bolts spins back) I added anti rattle washers too and it's failings make it a two person job.
Check for the last Nvram chip change, it should of had at least two in it's life and it holds the adaptives (IMHO if the car is jump started ever, then more chips, as a flat battery will cause the car to pull the power out of the Nvram 3v battery as you turn the ignition on) and both fuses (footwell/under air box).
I added the diode into the alternator wiring for no reason (other than liking the thought of protecting the dash, which is a 'TVR' part).
It is easy enough to plug into the car via the MBEtool of EvoOlli (which I love) but it flies around the car, or the phone app (I read mine off my phone via the app and a pioneer SBH-10BT) and read real-time info if I need to.

Warning Code 4: EFI Fault is an interesting one. Lots of people see this for a couple of seconds on startup and the experts say to ignore it unless it stays displayed.

Personally, I've owned five S6 cars and just one has exhibited this 'problem'. Think you will have seen the list of possible reasons, as listed in Graham Varley's manual, on FB so won't repeat here. However, I have been through every one on the car that does display the warning and none of them were the reason. If you manage to track it down I really would like to know, as I'm sure would many others!

BTW, Graham Varley's manual is available on the TVRCC website and that explains the buttons and display in great detail. Essential for any S6 owver IMHO.

Is there a list of fault codes somewhere? I have «137 air con fault» showing randomly. Wonder what it is?

That’s marvellous information.
Very helpfull.

Well yesterday I grabbed the keys and after warming the Tamora up did a few laps.
First time ever driving a late car.
It was way better than I was expecting and I instantly really liked it.
Wow, the gearbox was lovely, the engine majestic and a sound that has taken the attention of every driver we have there, over 40 and the few privileged ones who have driven it all came back mightily impressed wearing huge grins. They all drove it quite slow which is some mark of respect and a bit of fear thrown in. I’d pointed out the lack of side impact protection for fun and it worked, it made me smile biggrin
Steering so sharpe, handling felt really sorted.
I love the floor mounted pedals, toe and heeled with ease. It’s a fantastic car. I didn’t rev it much so less torque than my 4.6 Chim but much more useable and I could feel the power coming in at 5000 and quite exciting it was too.
The engine sounds so good on track.
I can’t wait to drive it a bit harder. I instantly felt confident in its feed back.
The guys love it.
Very few have driven a Tvr as most are quite young, the 30 somethings with lots of successful racing careers absolutely fell in love with it.
Isn’t that a thing!
I could say I told them so but I won’t.

Excuse me hi jacking my own thread but after driving some great cars like McLaren Blar Blar the Tvr was just sublime. I can’t believe it but it was.
I so pleased.

Ive cancelled fault codes.
Car has been sat outside unused for two days while the heavens opened so it was off track and very wet!
After warming and running the car I showed my mate and chief instructor ( 32 years old) around it who proceeded to use it as an excuse to constantly go out and pick cones up that get knocked about. Just gently driving it but I watched him fall in love biglaugh
It’s really great to see.
Fault code came back up but later after really warming the car it stayed cancelled.
I’ll keep my eye on things and see how it goes.

Speed six engines feel so balanced to me. A masterpiece.
I know little about the car at this point other than the interior looks rather worn!
Of all the cars I've had the privilege to drive and after a few years out of my own rather special Tvr imho driving a speed six engined car was the greatest moment I’ve had in ages.
Very very special cars.

The smaller sp6 engines love to rev .. everything happens near the top end so as you drive it harder the engines feel better and better.

The little 3.6 I build for Cliff's T350 racer revs to 8k and makes nearly 400hp. biggrin
