Well done Meonstoke for that link to Brian Innes's posts about his A110 GT experiences; my only comment (and most definitely not criticism, as he's obviously a pretty good motorsport experienced driver and writes so well anyway!) would be that I'd love to see his further thoughts on that initial three-way comparison he made around page 6/7 but after he'd made those Life110 modifications. The Life110 air filter and especially the fast road settings, wider Corse wheels and grippier Cup 2 tyres definitely led to a number of even more favourable comments from him about the A110's capabilities.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if it amounted to simply making the A110 a clear second place rather than joint with that 2012 987.2 Porsche Cayman R 6-Speed Manual, while his all-time favourite, the 2019 Porsche 718 Cayman 2.5t GTS PDK, remains top of the class!
But with all that said, there was clearly no doubt in his mind he was staying with the A110 Legende GT for the rest of his fast driving years, until the tragic news at the end of his many posts that the medical condition he'd flagged up earlier had made him decide it was time to stop driving sports cars altogether.
I'd simply urge any A110 owners and indeed prospective purchaser to read Brian's posts on this thread, as he:
a) Went through the dilemmas of the buying process and choice of models.
b) Had ample and easy access to what sound like fantastic roads very close by to his home for seeing what the A110 could really do.
c) Was a very experienced motorsport competitor and even into his seventies was still determined to learn from experts at racing circuits.
d) Gave so many fascinating and very rounded insights as a long term owner and driver on tracks and road tours.
