Where do I start... I had the Clio V6 for 3 years, had my fun with it and managed to make a bit of profit too. I'd been watching the market on these Gallardos about 5 years ago (when they were cheaper, but hey ho) and was waiting and wanting to hear some horror stories about catastrophic bills... but there weren't many, if any (well, 4321go considered). The recent passing of a good mate of mine has made me realise that life is far too short and you absolutely seize the day. RIP Broon, I told you I'd get one in the end tongue out

So, the Clio got sold to one of those raffle companies (I've bought a few tickets to see if I can win it back tongue out ):

Also sold my Golf GTE daily to fund the Gallardo and now I'm pottering about in a leggy, £1500 diesel Seat Exeo. No photos of that, yet.

Anyway, bought the Gallardo from Fleet, and I'm in Newcastle so worked out cheaper to get https://russwaitetransport.co.uk/ to deliver it for me. When it arrived I was hoping for a low-key drop off but sometimes a covered vehicle transporter hints that there may be something beyond the norm inside and that's what the neighbours thought too... they were all out with their phones and kids paperbag

Got it unloaded, went for a quick drive to familiarise myself with the e-Gear system (and embarrassed myself a couple of times not being able to get it out of neutral, stting myself, then realising that you need your foot on the brake to engage 1st gear when in neutral paperbagpaperbagpaperbag )

Removed the frunk and fitted the CTEK to it and parked it in the Clio's old home

I'll take some better photos over the weekend when I get a chance

Congrats, that looks great especially in that colour.

Any plans for places to go with it yet? Enjoy.

Thanks all!!! I’m still pinching myself!

Well, it’ll probably end up doing fewer miles than the Clio but I’ll be off to the Car Barn at Beamish tonight and maybe a car show or two before the end of the season

Sorry to hear about your mate. Lovely purchase there, just wait for the hints from family/friends/neighbour's about what a great car it would be to take their kids to prom.

Enjoy it thumbup

OMfG!! That is bloody lovely mate!! Perfect colour too, I am exceptionally jealous!! I am determined to get a Lambo when I retire, even if I only get to own it for a year.

Congrats on your purchase and for moving on your V6 so quickly, though it did look to be in really good condition.

You must be really thin and agile, the car obviously does go in to the garage but the door thickness alone takes up half the gap to the wall and it's not really that doable to climb over the transmission tunnel to get out the other side.

Be prepared for lots of attention, waves, people slowing down in other cars to take on the move videos, etc. And enjoy.

Absolutely epic, exactly how life should be done! I've only ever driven one once but it was biblical, drove it back to back with a Ferrari F430 and there was no comparison for me, V10 all day long. Apart from the E gear being a little slow-witted I really enjoyed the thump between gears and I know a lot are now feeling the same.

Looking forward to updates on this.

It's immaculate, I love it. The paint is pearlescent so I'll have to take better photos of it. Garage fitting was a struggle, but I think I'll drive it in forwards tonight with the passenger door against the wall. Attention wise, I'm thinking I might struggle with at first, I normally don't give a fk what people think about me but driving it last night was a strange feeling. Even getting it delivered was an event, the whole street were out for the show. The next door neighbour's little boy has already had his photo taken in it!

Yeah it's a bit clunky but I'm sure once I'm used to it it'll become better - plus I always have it in Sport mode (to save on the clutch wear) so I suspect the changes might be purposely harsher.

Is the garage getting rebranded to suit the new car?

It’s always going to get loads of attention; I collected my lad from school yesterday and there was a 488 Pista out the front…everyone was gawping at it.
