Hi I have just completed a powerpoint presentation for work & if possible I would like to add music to play over as the slides change. Whenever I add music the slide does not change until the track is finished.
What I was hoping to do was set up the presentation to change slides as the same track plays I would then edit the presentation to the same length as the track.
Can someone please tell me if this is possible or not as I have been trying for hours & can only add music to each slide individually.
Ant help greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Howard

I take it the lack of replies means it can't be done?

I had a look at this earlier - playing with the master and the script editor and couldn't stop it starting the track again every time a new slide came up. There should be a way but its more complicated than a 10 min play around could find (though I await to be contradicted by greater minds than mine). Looks like media player in the back ground is the way forward.

What version is it

I have office 2003 and all you do is right click on the track for the music embedded and ask is to play with the last slide/event not after. It is in timing I think

Think i've got the answer.

1.Add your sound clip to the first slide, say 'Yes' at the prompt about playing the sound automatically.
2.Right click on the sound and choose 'Custom Animation'
3. In the right hand window, click on the down arrow next to the name of the clip and choose 'Effect Options'
4. Then in the 'Stop Playing' section choose the 'After' option and put in the total amount of slides you have.
