Van side loading door MOT Question?

Hi, Can anybody confirm whether the side loading door on a van has to be able to be opened for the MOT? The central locking has stopped working on my side door and i have a custom shelf unit infront of it making it an absolute pain to get to the central locking mechanism to change it.

I had a look here and can't see anything that says it must open, however i'm not sure if that's for car's only.

When I had my 2017 Combo tested they didn't go anywhere near the loading area or the doors encasing it (sliding and barn), so I reckon you should be all right. Maybe worth asking in the Ask an MOT tester thread ? https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
