Safespeed is in dire financial trouble, and desparately needs donations to get rid of some long term debts. So get your wallets out and donate at:

www.safespeed.org.uk/appeal.html

IMHO, no one is doing more to try to restore intelligent road safety policy and put the political persecution of motorists in the past.

Cheers Chris and anyone lese from this forum who has helped safespeed in the last few days.

Paul really is at the forefornt of discrediting government bullsh1t and spin in the area of road safety and deserves all of our support.

Without his near crusade who knows how much worse things would be.

Hmmmmm grumble grumble.

I recall posting a thread asking for donations to the Terri Calversbert appeal and the thread got......1 reply....from Muncher if I recall and that was only to correct me on something.

I'm not sure this is the best place to ask for donations, but presumably it's a case of the more exposure the better as far as you're concerned?

Anyway enough waffle, I'll be sending a cheque imminently ie. when I get my cheque book from home.

Not everyone on the forum has time or the inclination to read some of the busier forums on PH. Hence my posting the message here and on the VMAX forum. I'm sure you'll agree most Porsche drivers have a keen interest in being able to make safe progress and enjoy using the roads. Paul is just working hard at the forefront of the roadsafety debate where on the one side you have drivers, logic and science and on the other side you have a government/civilservice machine hellbent on making driving as unpleasant and costly as possible.

Nice one.

If you have the time I recommend having a look through Pauls website.

I posted about this on an Elise forum and got a much better response! Come on chaps. Fighting the establishment is hard work, and if he doesn't do it, we'll have gatsos on every corner and 5mph limits in cities.

Ditto.

Paul does a good job and the anti-car lot are funded more than adequately by the government and left wing charities.

The ABD do some good, too, of course.

Just because people don't respond doesn't mean they haven't contributed.

Doesn't mean they have either and on the balance of probabilities I can guess which is more likely

Sorry if you take offense at me chivying people up!

No offence taken, I didn't really mean it as curt as that but as usual I'm rushing. I really meant that some people may not wish to publically support safespeed given the numpties perception that going above the speed limit for any reason is akin to baby killing.

Contribution made. If my hard earned makes just one tiny difference in the government policy towards speed cameras, then in my opinion that is money well spent. I also donate to charity regularly etc etc blah blah.

I found it fairly easy as you no longer have to register a paypal account to pay someone.

This is a bit sad, virtually our only hope against the anti-motoring tirade from this government, so come on folks, even just enough for a couple of beers must help the cause...
