Wanted carbon side strakes
Discussion
The official AM parts are only about £1000 so not sure where you've seen them listed for a small fortune, but I guess it all depends on what you call a small fortune really.

ECPS is one of the better non OEM suppliers of CF parts, but since Brexit you do need to look out for import duty on top of the advertised prices. That said even with import duty they work out about half of a small fortune.
I have never ordered from ECPS but there are plenty of people here who have and are happy with his product and service.

Thanks for your reply. Aston Martin Works have them advertised on eBay for £1450. To me that’s an excessive amount of money for such a small carbon part.
That maybe the fitted price perhaps? The link i posted for the OEM parts is HWM AM main dealer so that is the rrp, but its parts only. That said if you ask nicely theres usually a decent discount to be had.

I've had products from them, good prices compared to most

BiggaJ did you buy side strakes from Davinatech? Just wondered what the quality is like as it’s sensibly priced?
I bought carbon wing mirrors caps from them. They sent the wrong ones at first however, they quickly rectified the issue and gave me some money back for the trouble. As others have said ECPS are very good but you will pay import duty and tax if buying from them. I have the carbon slam panel and V12 grill from them, both excellent.

The item I have seen on other peoples cars didnt look quite the same finish as OEM to me, and on that basis I personally would only consider OEM. It was a cf slam panel - was too glossy.
But i appreciate others who have perhaps a lower outlay on their car (due to age, mileage etc), may feel differently about the cost of OEM vs after market.
I wouldnt say the quality was poor, quote the opposite, just that it wasnt an absolute perfect match as OEM would be.

Does AML produce an OEM CF slam panel? I can’t remember Adam. I ordered a few bits from ECPS a couple of years ago and I think the slam panel was the best finished of the products I bought. I think the glossy look really lifts the engine bay. Overall at the price point I was very pleased and it doesn’t overly bother me that the parts aren’t OEM. But I have kept the originals should I decide to sell the car in future. As others have said, there will be extra to pay in import duty/taxes if ordered from Poland (assuming delivery to the U.K.). The courier took six months after delivery to issue me their invoice though. I had the opposite experience to you in that the courier invoiced me immediately and wouldn't deliver until payment was made. I did this the same day with TNT and then for 5 months had demanding letters from FEDEX stating I had not paid and citing legal action. They claimed they couldn't find the payment on their system despite me furnishing them with proof that they had sent me and providing card statement showing the monies being paid. Despite having proof they wouldn't believe me.

It transpired that TNT had recently been bought by FEDEX and their systems didn't align ... I had to sort this out through Capgemini who were responsible for getting the different systems to talk to each other.
