Evening folks, I have the pleasure of a 2am-ish landing into Stansted coming up soon, and seeing as the first Stansted Express isn’t until 6am I was wondering if anyone has any pointers regarding somewhere to spend/suffer 4 hours?! Is there much/anything open 24/7 landside at all, hoping there might be a Costa or something to prop myself up in?! Cheers all!

Not much open really. Maybe turn left and walk down into the Radisson hotel. You may find somewhere to get you're head down.

Assume you going into London?

If so, i think the coaches run. Might not be the ideal way to travel but it'll save wasting time at Stansted until the trains start.

The taxis are 24hr, not cheap into London but it’s worth haggling at that time in the morning. Tell them Uber is £80 but 30 minutes wait.

They do late night Ghost Walks through Dumnow which isn't too far away smile

2am landing will have you landside around 3am. Stansted tends to wake up around 5am. Either way, you should find at least one coffee shop open but beyond that, your options are sadly limited. As mentioned, coaches run 24/7 if you did want to be on your way and that time of the night you'd be in London in no time.

Coaches definitely run into London through the night, its possible other destinations are available but I'll leave that to the OP to look at

Have a great holiday

If it's National Express you can't go wrong.

A coach will be very quick getting into London at that time of night.

Do anything you can to avoid having to wait at Stansted!

I had 1am - 5am to kill there recently between inbound and outbound flights.

It's shocking, they basically close everything bar the small seating area around WHSmith/Costa. There were people crammed into every bit of floor pretty much, it's really poor compared to most larger airports overnight.
