Looks like an early to mid 90s F3/3000 car, although the helmet doesn’t look like a great match I’m going to suggest Pierre Henri Raphanel…

Thats the only Pierre I could find but I cannot find him in anything other than a red helmet.

I think it is Pierre Kaffer, who went on to be a Works Audi driver

He was in German F3 from 97 to 01 and Formula Opel prior to that.

Kaffner is 46 apparently, so would have been 24 at the millennium, that isnt the face of a 24 year old! (and it looks like Kaffner has had the same helmet design for his career which doesn’t look like the picture….)

It’s not an FVL either

On a different tact, Cleber Designs are alas Vegas based so perhaps it’s an American/Canadian? Website is no longer alive though instagram has some recent pictures…

The narrow roll hoop without an airbox and the low cockpit sides suggest a formula car from the late 80s or early 90s. There weren't many Pierre's racing internationally in this period, and apparently none with that helmet design.

It also looks like it possibly has HANS attachment points on the side of the helmet, which would not be correct for that period of car but were starting to appear by the late 90s.

Being an advertising shot, it could also just be a model with a random helmet in a random car for a photoshoot.

What if that’s a sports car rather than a single seater? The cockpit doesn’t quite look symmetrical

Always a possibility that it isn't a Pierre but just a stock image from models.

You could try tweeting the Ricoh twitter account. Sorry, X'ing the Ricoh X account.
