They stole the fking cushions! All of the seating, backs, and ends. And the drawer unit at the front. The whole unit. I cannot think of anything of value in there, kids' games, the glass tray for the microwave, bits of paperwork, the odd DVD.

They left the Kampa outdoor chairs and table, and everything in the cupboards (also little of value). But threw all the duvets and pillows everywhere.

Oh, they managed to find the tracker that was buried at the back of the drawers.

Where was this, on site, at home, at a storage facility?

Not an expert but that sounds like they wanted to remove the tracker more than take contents. Is the caravan vulnerable to being taken?

The parts are probably in a crappy van conversion now. But as above, where was the caravan when the theft happened?

It is stored at a local farm where it's been for four years, without incident. There are roughly 15 other caravans stored there. Two other caravans were done in the same way, in through the bathroom window (fewest catches), all cushions stolen.

It makes no sense as all three caravans are 15+ years old, which in turn makes it impossible to replace them as Lunar no longer makes these cushions. Some second hand on eBay but at £3/400, it's a risk.

We were due to go on holiday 3rd week in August which looks like that's off now.

Not heard of this kind of thing before.

Given the age of the vans could this be members of the driveway resurfacing community giving their own portable residences a makeover?

If you've ever been in one of their 'vans you will know that is extremely unlikely.

More likely that they are ending up on Ebay for £3-400 a pop...

Some caravans at the storage site I use to store my caravan were broken into recently, bikes etc stolen. They forced open windows and smashed through the closed blinds to gain entry, the blind units would be fairly expensive to replace.

I now leave all my blinds open with curtains only partly drawn so they can see in, cupboard doors open so they can see there is nothing in there, and window catches left in an 'almost open' position to minimise any damage if they do force a window to get in.

Our caravan is a 2008 Lunar, parts are no longer made for it. There are a few caravan scrappies about where I likely could get a replacement window, perhaps even the drawer unit. But I'm loathed to buy second hand cushions.

The lack of replacement new parts is making the insurance claim a challenge frown

I wonder if hard to find Lunar parts now have their own black market?

As long as you gave sizes you should be able to get new ones made.
This shop in Edinburgh can cut foam whist you wait. Im sure you can find similar closer to home or get it delivered.

Regal Upholstery in Ilkeston Derbyshire do all sorts of upholstery for caravans, motorhomes and boats. I recently had all my caravan seats re-foamed by them. They even have an overnight pitch. you can stay on in case you need to wait for the seats to be done.

There is a company that i saw that does make seat cusions etc, if i can find the website i'll post a link here.
As it's a Lunar, make sure you check your front panel where it joins the main body, if it has an alluminium strip with screw in it, then at some point it is going to crack. Ask me how i know that?

The website i mentioned is www.cbscc.co.uk
