Weve had a good few strikes down in Wales but looks like the north east of England is having a good show.

On the blower about an hour ago to a bloke in Yorkshire who broke off mid sentence to ask "**** me, am I in New Orleans?"

It's like midnight here. Rain is hammering down and a bit of thunder & lightning.

Gusty wind too.

We've had a fair bit in Brissle, but no thunder to speak of. Typically I get home just as it's stopping, so I didn't get a good look

Twas bad here before. Very dark and sheet lightening, coupled with very heavy rainfall. Apparently there are quite a few flooded roads, but it seems the worst has passed now (sorry i'm a bit late on this thread...)

It has been horrible here, due to the sudden change in the weather it took me 90 mins to do a journey that normally takes 20. Rain so heavy that I couldn't see through the windscreen, several trees blown down and water streaming down the roads. However, the sky was a beautiful orange/pink colour once it all finished. Very very weird weather, it was gloriously hot only an hour before.

We've been having an absolutely belting storm here in Scarborough for the last hour, the sky is being lit up every 3 or 4 seconds on average, it's without doubt one of the best storms I've ever seen.
