Hello, I've just purchased my first TVR, a V8S, spent today frying to death...i think it can be too hot for convertable.
I am trawling through the forum to try to avoid asking a stupid question, but i have one immediate issue, the fancy boot release has just stopped releasing...is there a manual override at all? I realise this is not the sort of info to be posted, but if soemone could mail me I would be delighted to regain my boot, especially as I'm taking the S to Oxford tomorrow for a couple of days.
A bit of info on me, I'm based in Sunny Worthing, and am a mini man at heart (car, not size) i presently have 7, but am trying to cut back to 3...or maybe 4.. i also own an Alfa 200GTV Bertone (74) which I will be selling to finance the TVR.

You may want to remove that and e-mail it to our owner in distress!

you might also want to remove your quote!

Or, as some of the "more enlightened" members were quick to say last week, leave the advice right there for all to see, it's not as if cars are hard to break into anyway, might as well make it easy and minimise the damage...

AHA!! victory, thank you, not the easiest of things to find, I'd never have spotted it without your help.
If you see a green S on the M27 or A34 tomorrow morning give me a wave.
I suppose as a first day fault it's not too bad, I had an Integrale for a couple of years and the clutch master cylinder failed after 4 hours of ownership....
Hopefully I will you at a show so I can buy you a beer.

Thanks again

Typical, I try the boot release this morning at 6...nothing, so I use the bodge and stow the roof.
Pop out for lunch with a work mate, and I'm discussing the suspect electrics, hit the boot release...there is a whirring noise for 3 seconds then the boot pops open.........bet it won't work tonight when i need to put the roof on
Can't wait for the 'bible' to arrive.

ahhhh, character sir.

Think yourself lucky Mine holed the radiator today, cooked the engine and had to be towed on the back of a recovery truck.

Ho hum, onwards and upwards.
