What to look forward to at the PH25 party

Our biggest event ever is just days away and only a few hundred tickets remain - here's why you should join us

It’s PH25 week everyone. This Saturday, thousands of cars will descend upon Bicester Heritage to mark 25 years of PistonHeads and, frankly, we can’t wait to take a stroll through the car parks to see what you’ve brought along. However, this isn’t just a Sunday Service with a few more cars - it takes place on a Saturday for one thing - it's also our biggest event ever because we've bought along a few friends to ensure it all goes off with a spectacular bang.

Those who are regular viewers of our YouTube channel will likely be familiar with our Readers’ Cars series, and we’re expecting most of the gang to be at PH25 with their marvellous creations. We’ll have Paul (or Hoonigan in the forums) there in his Southern GT40, Scott (scottos) and his glorious BMW 2002 Tii, the track-focused Volkswagen Lupo GTI belonging to Clayton Jones (claytonjones) and many more.

Speaking of builds, we’ve got a number of specialists who’ll be showing off their latest projects. MST Cars are on the list with their new Metro 6R4 recreation, while Alfaholics will be bringing some Italian flair with their GTA-R and Super-R. Meanwhile, Le Mans Coupes and Radical will have track day enthusiasts covered, and if you’re more into the modding scene there’s always VW tuning wizards Revo and wide body masters Liberty Walk. Finally, Caterham will be there with the new Project V electric sports car hot on the heels of its world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. And when the urge to drive something inevitably hits, you can head to Motorsport UK to have a go on its driving simulators (and prove to your friends you’re as fast as you say you are).

Moreover, as you probably know, we’ve been hunting down the best cars of the last 25 years across five different categories of performance cars: sports cars, hot hatches, saloons, track cars and supercars. Each class will be represented by its own display zone, with over 200 display cars set to fill Bicester Heritage to the brim. And if you head over to our outdoor cinema, you can watch the premiere of our PH25 series finale, where we’ll crown the best car of the last 25 years.

You’ll also be able to see the final episode in our PH Project Car series. Make sure you swing by the eBay stand, too, as not only can you get up close and personal with our now-maxed-out Mk5 VW Golf GTI, but you’ll have the chance to enter our competition to win it, too. You can find the PistonHeads stand right next door, which is the place to go if you want to bag some merchandise. We’ll even have some of our auction cars on display, and there’ll be someone on hand from our consignment team if you want to sell your car through the brand-new PH Auctions service.

Be sure to pick up a free guide when you arrive, showing you where all the exhibitor stands are and a timetable for the outdoor cinema. And if you haven’t got a ticket yet, you can grab one by hitting the link here. Better be quick, though, as tickets are selling fast and only a few hundred remain. You only get to celebrate your 25th once, so you’re not going to want to miss this!

Correct link to the display car list.

Looking forward to this! You've arranged sunshine, or at least no rain, right?

Really hoping Bicester doesn't look like this on Saturday. The current forecast isn't good. Come on jet stream, move north!

Looking forward to this, had tickets booked for months now. Just a shame my car won't be ready on time and I'll be stuck with a courtesy car to make the trip down.

Yep and it’s never stopped any car parking on it.

That is what I meant. Goodwood for example is park on grass and is like a mudbath when it is wet.

And yet doesn’t stop mclaren F1’s and Porsche carrera GT’s parking in the field. Fortunately for you it’s mainly dry the rest of the week. It’s also on tarmac most of the way until you park on the grass.

As a veteran of the scrambles and smaller themed meet ups, I adore this place and what they've done with it. To have a larger PH meet with all the different categories and possibly be in company of powerfully built directors and those who hammer sausages into lawns takes it up a notch.

Roll on Sat and the no doubt liberal application of water-less wash and wax to get the old girl gleaming in the hot hatch section..! (will have to paint correct it later)

I was there this Saturday for the roll hard show in a caterham. The grass is flat as a pancake and there was no sign of it getting churned up. It'll be more than fine.

Just finished a full restoration on my Trophy - I’m sure it would have been appreciated at a show like this - hope there’s another great example there on the day.

Any body know if there will be the normal car show stuff for kids too? Bouncy castle and that sort of thing?
