What the chances of adding an 'Advanced Driving' forum - to discuss all topics relating to ... wait for it ...... erm .... Advanced Driving - covering IAM, RoSPA, HPC, etc, etc ....

I know we already have a "Track Days & Driving Experiences", so maybe expand the scope (naming) of it, as an alternative, although I think it meets a different set of needs.

If you look through the GG forum there's a lot of discussion around this topic - so I think a forum would be good to discuss all aspects of Advanced driving, over and above S, P and L type topics, and track-type discussions.

Just my tuppence worth.

I'd be very keen to encourage this. Anyone else keen on the idea?

Ted. Is there any way to include the Gassing Station as a "Widget". I've taken over the management of the Basingstoke Advanced Motorists web site - which I must get around to re-vamping as it is looking old and tired, frankly.

One thing that would be quite cool would be to have a Forum. I could just set one up with one of the Forum hosting companies (some are even free!) but it would be a LOT better to simply embed the PH Advanced Driving forum into the site somehow. One gets a buzz going in the forum more swiftly - and some new PH contributors, hopefully.

I seem to remember that this is a possible thing?

I'm not going to get round to anything right away but I would like to know

1) If you'd mind
2) If its possible

Thanks!

Don - as far as I know Ted already does this for a few other websites (eg. Ultima) so should be possible.

Otherwise if you have a web host that supports PHP and MySQL then phpBB is free and very easy to set up - you can be up and running in around 10 mins. See www.coruscant.ltd.uk/fora as an example.

Hi Don,

Yes, absolutely possible and always keen to pursue these opportunities for mutual benefit.

If you could let me know what your site looks like then I can create a rebranded version to fit.

e.g. www.hsv.org.uk, www.porkers.co.uk, www.corvettechat.co.uk, www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?forum_id=12&h=5
