Society against knobbish parking
Discussion
As I struggled to get Miss D's pushchair between yet another pavement parker and a house on a road with just sufficient street parking for one car per house, I remembered that a few years back videos from Russia were doing the rounds where a group called StopXam were stopping anti-social queue cutters, pavement drivers and knobhead parkers, putting stickers on the cars of the offenders.
Ignoring that StopXam was started by Nashi (think Hitler Youth for Putin)... I wonder if some sort of community action against knobbish parkers would work here? Obviously I'm toobusy lazy to start it myself, but imagine if there was a group of vigilantes sticking annoyingly sticky and difficult to remove stickers on cars that had been parked by knobs.

My local council now have a round the clock team to issue PCNs for bad parking. It's pretty decent. Some
parked a metre over my driveway - still could get out but there was absolutely no need to park like than as there was ample space either side. £110 fine issued within 10 minutes of reporting. Way less hassle than trying to explain to someone not to park like a

.Bad parkers are oblivious - they do not know how to park well. We have an employee that parks her fiesta roughly wherever it stops - I often ask her to park it tight against the kerb in the car park when she is about 4 feet away (not an exaggeration) - she just say "oh, I thought it was tight to the kerb"
She has also had letters put on her car when she parks on the street asking her to park so that others can fit in, she gets offended as she cannot understand what it wrong - even if we point it out to her - she just does not get it.
So, I think you just have to let poor drivers be poor drivers as they have no skill in parking / car control and they have no interest or insight as to the problem. She is one of those drivers who has to be REALLY close to the wheel / windscreen too - I wonder if there is a pattern?

She does it because she gets away with it.She has also had letters put on her car when she parks on the street asking her to park so that others can fit in, she gets offended as she cannot understand what it wrong - even if we point it out to her - she just does not get it.

If you tell her she doesn't come into work or losing car park slots until she gets it right, it will be sorted within 5 days.

That's terrible - I hope you didn't damage the car whilst trying to squeeze past it?(If not, I've heard a MIck Jagger-style hip wiggle in the direction of the rear-view mirror does the trick nicely)
On my estate every house has drive way for 2 cars and a garage - minimum.
The bigger houses all have space for 4 cars plus double garage.
The number of houses with 2 or 3 cars outside and the drive way empty drives me nuts.
Recently the council put up planning notices for double yellow lines, everyone went mental saying how it was against their "ooman rights" etc etc to park outside their own house.
The issue is the estate was never designed to have cars parked on the roads, it was always designed to have the cars off road. But people are now moaning that they should be able to park where they want. I do wonder about this country sometimes.

Blimey. That's impressive. I can only assume the penalties cover the cost of the service.

Nope, if you cannot control and manoeuvre a car then sufficient to park near the kerb you should not be drivingShe has also had letters put on her car when she parks on the street asking her to park so that others can fit in, she gets offended as she cannot understand what it wrong - even if we point it out to her - she just does not get it.

When I win the lottery (when, not if) I’ll be hiring a massive farm loader telehandler thing and punting all the permanent pavement parkers cars into their front gardens. Upside down. The bigger houses all have space for 4 cars plus double garage.
