The other day, the infotainment screen went blank - no Nav, Audio etc.

My Porsche Guru checked all the fuses and poked around a bit but no joy!

Is there a simple fix or am I looking at buying a replacement head unit?

All ideas welcome.

Has the HDD in it gone phut?
Or could be a board in it,?
or a video ribbon cable inside come adrift?
Has the power connector come adrift (unlikely)
Is it under OPC warranty, if so, take it to them to replace, if not, could be worth taking it out and checking the PCM and opening it up.
Otherwise it's about £750 for a refurb unit with SSD and carplay iirc.
PCM needs to be precoded to your VIN no iirc

Has the head unit got a fuse on the unit itself, as opposed to the car wiring/fusebox fuses?

Some cars (not specifically Porsche) have both, worth pulling it out to have a look before you start spending.

This happened to my 981. Was under warranty and they replaced the whole unit - I think the cost would have been c£2.5k so look at going reconditioned.

Thanks for all the thoughts.
I'll speak to my man and find out if he has gotten any further with his investigations.
I'm beginning to think that this requires a replacement unit.
Again my thanks.
