As much as i love the new tamora, i dont get it?

I know TVR are a mad bunch, but whats this all new tamora all about? In a single stroke, the old shape looks totally dated. The tamoras only been out for a short while, so why not a evolution of the old shape for the coupe/targa? surely most people think the new car is miles ahead in styling terms on the older design so why have TVR introduced a "NEW" design? i really dont get it. To all you guys with the convertible model you must be livid, i would. I just think it confuses the model line up and just shows a lack of direction on TVRs front.

I'm not worried really. The truth is, that TVR values are dictated more and more by the general car market, and are much less protected by the small dealer numbers. So, the T350C will suffer from the same reputation as other TVR's, and my Tamora will depreciate in line with that, unless I buy back into the network. It is not going to represent a radical change of opinion in the car market - the Tamora got rave reviews from most magazines and reviewers, but secon hand prices on the open market are sliding - that DOES piss me off. It takes a long time to reverse a car maker's reputation, and TVR will always suffer from the "no airbag, no ABS, no traction control, no power hood" arguments, until these items are included. I do feel a little aggrieved that the Tamora wasn't given Halogen lights and the more integrated tail treatment now appearing on the T350C - especially since prices are much the same. I await a modified Tamora with these updates. Then I might dip a toe into the water again! I cannot imagine driving around next summer with a roof on, looking at all the other soft tops, and thinking, "wish I had a soft top!"

Toatlly agree, I love the shape of the new model but at the end of the day you cannot take the roof off (IMHO a targa top is not the same as a true convertible, its just a massive sun roof)!!
I am envious of the new shape UNTIL I go out and see my Tamora again.

so you guys dont think TVR are going to chop ther roof off the new design real soon? i think its just a matter of time before the old design is pensioned off.
