Local garage has had this on their forecourt for a few days, probably waiting parts.

Can’t work out what would normally be on the back, and what the guttering pipes are for. Any ideas?

Looks like it’s had something previously fitted to the back of it, so it could have just been used as trunking for cables etc.

Some sort of inverted boat/punt? No idea about the pipework, perhaps it resonates a nice note at a certain speed….

No branding.

I quite often see the garage owner opening up when I’m getting back from my morning walk so will try and find out

Is that beige/yellow staining sand or silt on the inside of the 'rails'?
Maybe some kind of dinghy or other lightweight boat transporter?

Is it not a "tilt and slide" recovery truck with the tilt and slide deck taken off?

the rails look like they are timber and the brown stuff between them is “trailerboard” which is rough and tough type of plywood

We have a winner!

Spoke to the garage owner this morning and it is part of a fleet of gritters.

He has no idea what the drain pipe is for either!
