For the first time in many years I would like to drive to northern Paris Aubervilliers area / Stade de France and back.

I think I need to get a Crit'Air vignette with a Porsche Cayenne diesel 958 and I have ordered one this morning. Can anyone confirm this is definitely required for this area of Paris please.

Also, I think I might have left it a bit late as I looked on the website and the warning is it can up to 6 weeks, which would be too late for me. Anyone recently bought one, and can confirm time taken please ?

Also, anyone risked it without actually having the Crit'Air in hand (it's in the post, officer!) ?

many thanks

I bought one last year and it was there within a week for me.

When you buy it... it states that the receipt is good to prove you have it, regardless of it being displayed.

As above, the receipt is fine. You'll get a pdf emailed to you pretty sharpish. Print it out and stick it with your registration documents in the glove box. If you are super paranoid you can pop it on your dash when parked up.

Bought one in April. The correct pdf that you can use to prove you have bought one arrived about 4 days later and the physical sticker about 2-3 weeks later.

I ordered one last month and it came in about a week, but I did also read that proof of purchase should be fine.

That’s pretty much the same timescale that it was for me when I ordered mine a couple of months back.

As others have said, the PDF / receipt is good enough to prove that you’ve bought one.

I didn’t go through Paris, (I avoid the dump like the plague), but I did go thought Rouen. The signs there informing you that you’ve entered a clean air zone are very easily missed.

The “and back” bit seems a little optimistic, given the locals habit of setting fire to things!

Even if you’re not intending to drive in a covered city, for the cost and ease, it’s worth having one on a just in case basis.

I was checked during a restricted poor air event in Toulouse earlier this year, and waved along once they saw the sticker’s colour. I can’t prove it but I did get the feeling that foreign plated cars are more likely targets for checks based on awareness.

I ordered one online on the 9th August. Email invoice (which you can use as proof) arrived in my inbox on the 11th of August. Actual sticker arrived yesterday (19th Aug).

I reckon you'll be fine.

There is a usefull app called Green Zones EU
https://www.green-zones.eu/en/app
Download it (free) to your phone. Enter the details of your car, very simple.
It show a map of the EU with lots of green dots, if you click on one it will say that your car can drive there, conversely not where there is a red dot.
Obviously these will alter on a daily basis according to the conditions.
Note that there is not an option to pay money to be able to drive in a red zone, they are not managed by Sadiq Kahn

BTW I read that as from next year France will have camera enforcement of this so if you drive in a clean air zone without a sticker which registers the car on their system or drive into a clean air zone when you shouldn't a fine will be coming your way
