That looks ace. I saw something about in wheel motors recently on the SAAB Nbev ( might be wrong ) EV.

Can’t see why it won’t become a massive thing

Needs 'deeper' wheel arcs so less room between front wheels for engine/gearbox d smaller boot.

Alternative - 4 smaller retractile wheel/electric motor units under car within wheelbase? Needs low power.

Motors in wheels. No gearbox or engines as far as I understand it.

Hummer rear wheels can turn up to 10 degrees. This looks more like 90 biggrin very cool

Adds quite a bit of mass to the slung wheels so much more inertia for the suspension to deal with.

I should imagine quite expensive too.

Would be quite interesting to see it developed for a rally car.

The steering would need to be electronic. A glitch rotating the wheels through 90 deg on the motorway could be a bit of an issue.
