Healthcare, e consult here has gone office hours
I must agree with this. I remember turning up to a walk-in and waiting over 4 hours to get a very painful broken arm diagnosed (I just wanted some strong painkillers) and in that time, a friend had woken up to hear his dog crying, tried to calm the dog down, called a vet, got an emergency appointment, took the dog there, got treated (something tooth-related, wasn't serious, dog was fine after a few days of doggy painkillers), brought the dog home, and was back in bed - all while I was still waiting to be seen.I'll never fault the NHS staff, they're (mostly) hard workers and do the best they can, but I will happily complain about the stupid system they have to work under, where a f
king dog gets quicker treatment than a human.(and yes, I've gone private since).
