Can't speak for survivalist. I'd say not acceptable to expose testicles in that or any similar RAF social setting, not acceptable to be outraged all the time.

Depends on your expectations I suppose. Certainly wouldn’t offend me. It’s a pretty dull life if all you worry about is being ‘appropriate’ on a night out.
