MIL light - what exactly is correct
Discussion
The manual states the MIL light should stay on for 2 seconds during ignition...but it does not seem to specify what stage of ignition it should stay on for 2 seconds at.
I am concerned - as mine beeps and stays on for as long as I have the pre-ignition sequence engaged (i.e. after 2 seconds it doesn't turn off). But all is ok once I fire her up - no MIL light flashes or activity.
Do I need worry? Should the MIL light stay on...oooo errr :scratchchin:

This is correct...no need to continue to worry!

I HAVE NEVER SEEN MY MIL LIGHT COME ON AT ALL NOT EVEN AT IGNITION STAGE, NOW SHOULD I BE WORRIED?????
The problem is, if there is something wrong, you'll not know. It might be too late. The MIL light warns you if there is a problem.
Kojak is quite right....you should hear a low buzz and the MIL light should illuminate once you have the preignion setting on, and this will remain like this until you have fired the car up, at this stage provided there is nothing wrong the buzz and light should cease....if you do not see anything, even at preignition stage, then get the car checked out before a problem occurs without you knowing it....
