There seem to be millions!

I was going for a white face SMP300 but I've been tempted by a Speedmaster.

Quite happy to pony up the £6,400 (less any discount I can get) for a new one but as Omega's seem to lose money I've spent several hours on ebay.

I like the thinner clasps of the latest model rather than the Seamaster style big clasps and I am someone who prefers a bracelet.

How do we feel about the Sapphire sandwich vs the more traditional Hesselite?

I prefer the full size one's but have a friend who swears by the more vintage models having a 66 and a 71 among others.

Advice welcome from my learned colleagues.

Thanks in advance.

In the words of Highlander, "There Can Be Only One"

I hadn’t read that - the latest co-axials are not good?

Thanks.

Lobster.
Mirror dial.
Tuning fork movment.
And of course £4500 of change to spend on other watches...

^ That image is from Chrono24. It's a 1974 watch.

(OK, OK, technically it's a Speedsonic rather than a Speedmaster. But that just means it isn't boring.)

Spending 6k and asking for opinions...it could only be Pistonheads biggrin

PS I've got a Seamaster and love it

Moonwatch would be a good choice, but if you want a white dial take a look at a Speedmaster Racing.

Buy an SMP and a Hesalite 1861 2nd hand and have both!

Personally I have the old pre co-axial sapphire and love it. Only down sides to it were the lack of half links and only 2 micro-adjust points on the bracelet, and storing the enormous box
