If I look back 10 to 15 years I think I was paying in cash regularly. But that seems to have stopped. I lived 3 years in NZ and now a year in Denmark and literally don’t know what the coins and notes look like. I was on holiday in Spain last week and wondered whether I should get some Euros but didn’t bother and it wasn’t necessary.

Makes me wonder whether we could eliminate physical cash already.

I think there would be some benefits of switching to cashless, particularly if you link it to an electronic ID system like they have here in Denmark.

My barber is the only time I spend cash. Card through Apple Pay at all other times.

I voted almost never.

Almost everything is Apple Pay unless it's somewhere that insists on cash only.

Anyone who wants a trolley at Asda/Aldi/Tesco/Morrisons for a start.

almost never, the only things I can think of are coins for eggs from the various small holdings that have roadside egg stalls, and leaving a tip when we go to a restaurant.

Oh and there is a tuck shop at the office that I use up loose change on

Not necessarily as I use a token in place of a £1 coin.

Only time I use cash these days is at the barbers.

Only to pay a 60p toll bridge, and even that starts off with me paying £1 on card and getting 40p back a couple of times.

Almost never, just for the annoying car parking spots that don't take card.

Almost never here, I use a mix of cards and mobile payments, I have a trolley token.

I went to E.Pellicci in London's East End the other week and that was cash only, luckily a cash machine across the road. Apart from that cant think of any other time I've used cash recently.

There is a pub in the town that I used to live, who were cash only, at the time there was two cash machines within walking distance, but both machines have since been removed and the pub has finally given in and got card machines.

I've started to use it more because I don't want a cashless society. I use my card at the supermarket and petrol pumps.

The Fish&Chip shops in the town I’m in do not take credit cards. And I belong to a local group that meets weekly and there is a donation for tea and the room. They do not take card either.

Pretty much every where else use card for.

I remember about 10 years ago in London some ‘city boy’ scoffing at me as I paid for a choc bar and drink on my break with my iPhone. Have pretty much used contactless for everything as soon as you could.

Now about the only things I pay cash are the Turkish Barbers and at the local chinese takeaway 🤔

The only place I regularly use “real” money is my local in Germany - cash is king there. Apart from that, both in the uk and abroad, almost never.

Using a card is a nightmare if you do a pub crawl.

Next day your trail is all there on the App! hehe

When you used cash all you knew was some was missing.

The odd cash on collection item via eBay and Fb Marketplace.

A couple of quid for the kids to go on fairground rides that's about it.

Normally it was going home with pockets full of pound coins as you'd lost the ability to count. biglaugh

Oddly I use cash every day. Every day I do a £1 coin flip for each of the children in the house. If they guess correctly they get the coin......
