Hi all,

After a nightmare of a day changing the ignition barrel on my Leon due to the steering lock being stuck on so I could get the f**king airbag out, when I have reassembled there’s something wrong as it’s like the key is a position out - the dash lights don’t come on though when you try to crank the car they do but it’s not turning over!

Plugged in the old barrel and the same thing?!

Any suggestions before I take a set of matches to the thing?

Cheers,

Ed

The symptoms suggest the connection between the barrel and the electrical switch isn't oriented correctly. Are you able to remove it again to inspect?

Hi,

Yeah I could remove it though it’s doing it on my old and new barrel and I haven’t dismantled the new one?

Cheers
