So, looking at buying an MPV - narrowed it down to a 2 series active tourer and a merc B Class (both 2015 models), as sadly it has to be German for me.
Exciting PH worthy cars I know! biggrin but this is the sensible vehicle for travelling into ULEZ zones and transporting stuff.

I do a lot of biking, road and gravel and transport my bike in my current environment killing Q5 - and so would need the new one to be able to do the same, can't find any info or pics online of a bike fitting in the boot of one of these two - ideally i'd prefer not to take wheels off, but at a push could take the front off.
Only ever two passengers, so back seats being folded 90% of the time won't be an issue.

Anyone have/had one of these and able to let me know how possible it is, and which is best for this?

Cheers

Scott

A good resource for questions like this is the following website which is aimed at disabled car users (so talks of fitting wheelchairs in the boot) but lists out dimensions and has lots of pictures of the interior.

You just have to measure up your bicycle and work out the dimensions you'd need.

I have a 2 series gran tourer (7 seater version). Can confirm that a full sized gravel bike / very heavy electric bike will fit in with all the rear seats down. I've done it a few times myself whenever I needed to take it to the LBS or Halfords for servicing.
