Anyone know what these are called and where I can buy them?

The battery I bought is without them, yet for my car with OEM mountings, it requires them to provide the height to clamp the battery in place.

I contacted and returned to the business where I purchased the battery from but they had no clue and would not take them off another battery.

I have searched Google extensively, ‘spacers, mountings etc’ with no joy.

Any ideas?

Refuse to accept the battery without them as it is not a direct replacement, and buy a battery elsewhere. It's shocking how ignorant some suppliers are about their own products and this has been an issue for as long as I can remember.
I frequently see cars without them when they're needed, and I've even seen some batteries with them moulded on... in which case they won't fit a VW!
I have a load of them knocking around (throw nothing away) which doesn't help you and probably will never help me/ my customers as they all have different size/shape/spacing of mounting tabs rolleyes

Hi Gareth,

No joy just yet on obtaining these plastic spacers.

My battery is a black 075 battery, and I require 2 spacers, one for each side.

Let me know if you can help. I tried to DM you but it wouldn’t allow me to.

Best regards,

David

As stated earlier, different casing manufacturers have used different size/shape and spacing on the locating pegs. Post dimensions of what you need and those of us that have some will check what we've got.
To illustrate what I mean, see the three below that happened to be on my bench... they're all different...

Hi David,

No problem. I did also send you a DM but appreciate it might not have been received. One more question from me… Is it a Yuasa battery?

All the best,

Gareth

Having worked at a factors for 10 years i have never seen these before.
I know you can get batterys same size etc but differant clamping methods. Usually jap or kias.
But i have never seen these removeable from a battery.

Im sure it was an 054,053,055 and 056 batterys.

What kind of car is it, and that does the manufacturer recommend battery size wise?

They are an extra to the standard moulded base, to make it higher to match the taller clamps on some VWs... you'll have to ask VW why they did that.
