Friday night and Saturday night I'd like to take Mrs Foolish to somewhere south of Leeds, north of Oxford, and west of Coventry. It also shouldn't be Liverpool or Manchester. It doesn't have to be "on the way" between north and south (for example I've looked into Conwy + Snowdonia and not ruled em out) although it would be a bit of an advantage if it is.

I'm keeping this vague cause I'm up for inspiration.

Ideas? A spa would be nice for her and some kind of preserved railyway would be nice for me, but neither necessary.

That’s a great shout. Very close to Chipping Campden too. Or here if wanting to be in a town to mooch around.

Can second Dormy House…. stayed 3 nights in July this year and couldn’t fault it.

Thanks - they would both have been great options. Unfortunately no room!
