Camper van explosion

This is the queue for the Portsmouth to Bilbao ferry,don't think I've ever seen so many camper vans waiting to use a crossing. Is it usual or perhaps significant to this route?
Was last on a ferry 3 years ago so wondering what's changed.

A lot of people purchased during covid lockdown when going on holiday other than the UK was a ball ache and even in the Uk was a ball ache.

Now taking them abroad - Also, expect a lot of those are rentals.
