Ianonne confirmed with Ducati for 2024, on a satellite bike. No word on the team as of yet but the rumour is Go Eleven at the expense of Oetl

Do they have a bit of history? They both were in MotoGP for a few years concurrently. I think Bautista would be more worried about Bulega, but he may also be thinking that he's pretty much got two championships under his belt and all good things have to come to an end....

A more puzzling thing, to me, is the situation of Axel Bassani. It looks like he'll move to a Yamaha or a Kawasaki for 2024. I think he's great on that ducati.

As far as i know, he is staying where he is for 2024 or so the suggestion is.
Re Kawasaki, if as the rumour suggests, Rea goes to Yamaha, then they would be looking to promote Huertas in his place.

With Toprak Razgatlioglu going to BMW, will that slow him down or be the development kick up the bum BMW needs?

Both I expect.

Although it was thought going from the ZX10 to R1 was going to slow him down. I think this is going to be a tougher task though. At least with the S1000rr he won't be so out gunned on the straights.

I tend to agree but i think more on the side of development they need as opposed to being outgunned.

I'd be interested to hear what Ducati's involvement has been in getting Iannone back on the grid. If it was just giving the ok to Go Eleven to do it then fine, but if they've actually signed him then placed him in the team that seems like an odd decision. No real downside but is there really not a promising young rider they could give a go? No one running around in CIV SBK?

I would think so yes, to replace Toprak.

Odds on Huertas being promoted to be Lowes team mate, especially given he has been testing with them both recently

I guess he didn't forget his experience with Honda when he rode beyond the limits of the Fireblade for too long.
Kawasaki's loss is Yamaha's gain in theory, be interesting to see how well he goes on the R1, meant to be the bike that is the easiest to ride quickly

I’m sure Remy will soon be at the sharp end. I was a massive fan of his Dad Wayne back in the day. He was some rider the way he slid the NSR 500 around.

What i like is that teams seem to be giving riders the chance to settle these days, it no longer seems to be a case of
Not winning? Not gelling with the bike or team? Fired.
Might be any number of things but its good to see riders being given the chance to develop.

Agreed, Gardner was treated pretty badly by KTM ,so good he's getting time to settle and gel with the yam.

Still have the T shirt with a picture of his dad getting flicked off the bike , hard bd was Wayne.

I remember at Donington in 1988, Wayne was 2nd to the legend that is Wayne Rainey and on the podium car lap Wayne Gardner was high fiving a few random people including me.
