Tyre pressures for Toyo R888

Hi

Just got a set of these smoothie boots.

But what tyre pressures do people suggest for these tyres? (15" fronts 16" Rears)

Don't know about the R888, but if they're anything like the T1-Rs i have on the rear, then i would suggest about 27psi.

The T1-Rs have a very soft sidewall - noticabley softer than Bridgestone S03s

Once you find a pressure that works, please let me know how you get on with the tyres - especially what they're like in the wet!

Nothing like. They are very hard walls and very soft compound. I have no specific experience but for the road you'll need to go as low as possible or they will tramline and shake you to bits. There are limits to how low you can go, too low and the bead seal will fail. I'd say try 20psi all round and see what it feels like. For the track you should be running them higher, perhaps 25 - 26psi.

Just check my tyres, the tyre centre set them at 35psi on fronts and 32psi rears Just shows you should always check.

Anyway for starters I am going to try at 21psi fronts and 22psi rears.

I am going to Snetterton tommorrow and will probably try them at 24-26psi.
