Well CGT are ‘officially’ off the road.
But maybe someone could have transported one.

991 gt2rs
991 50th anniversary.
924 carrara gt. There was a red gts though!
991 touring.
718spyder rs
997 sport classic. Or the speedster version of the same vintage.

I didnt see any of the above. But wasn't an issue.

It's still a good day out . The good weather helps and the fact I'm 10 minutes away.
The admission on the day at 33quid was rich though. 20quid woulda been fairer. Need to keep the council. element out but not price out the beards!
And as usual the food and drink was pricey. But its once a year so hey ho.
Might take a picnic next year.

Cheap if your a PCGB member and buy in advance, but £33 on the day for a low level one make club event is ridiculous

Some nice cars in the car park, but where were all of the factory race cars?

A couple of track demos with just a single 992 cup and a GT4RS is nothing to get excited about either

Hardly matches previous offerings with 956/62 935 and more or Nick Tandy in the 919 tribute

What's this about please ?

Have CGTs been deemed too dangerous for mere mortals to drive ?

There was an issue with one car in the US I believe regarding a suspension component. Porsche have advised all owners not to drive their cars until a solution is found/they can inspect all the cars….ETA is 12 months I think and it’s already been a few months.

Thanks for the explanation ,I had no idea there was a real problem with them .

To answer the OP's Q ,there were a few special Porsches at Concours of Elegance this weekend .

A couple of near identical 914 comp cars.
962
WSC 95
964 RSR
a couple of 911 2,7 Carrera RS
917 K
a couple of 356s .

Too many events ,not enough weekends in the summer .

Sadly Brands is the arse end of the country for the vast majority.

But it’s one of my favourite tracks and steeped in history, and a good two days travel for me.

This is surely supposed to be the clubs headline event?

Great venue
Perfect weather
Excellent attendance figures (it seemed to me at least)

Cars borought in as displays from the Club and/or Factory really poor

not having been to one before its hard to compare to previous years
the interview with the two drivers was interesting i thought but yes, being critical, the location suited those in the SE more and its a shame that there was'nt more interesting machinery supplied by pcgb themselves.

I gave it a miss this year. Having been lucky enough to attend the Porsche 75 - Festival of Dreams in Hockenheim in June this year, I felt Brands Hatch wasn't going to top that. So I wasn't too worried about missing it this year, having been before. However, I hope to attend it next year with my wife and daughter smile

The positives:
- Two passenger laps in the Taycan Turbo S
- Saw some interesting racing & cars on track
- Brands Hatch is a great circuit - as are all MSV tracks. Immaculate. The best of the best.
- Wasn't too busy which can be an issue at other events. Especially around the exhibition stands

The negatives:
- Expensive tickets. Quick look on their site & general admission was the same price as British Superbikes in October!
- Very weather dependent (almost no shelter)
- What was there by way of celebration for 60 years of the 911?

I went with my car mad, 15 year old son.

As others may have said, we didn't feel there was much in the way of racing history on display, and I didn't see a 959 (there may have been one / some, but I didn't see any).

Would have been nice to see a car from each of the 75 years of production: quite a stretch, for sure, but museums etc could have been roped in to help.

Some of the racing felt a bit lacklustre, and the grids seemed fairly small. The best part for us was walking around the car parks.

When a v large part of the show is perusing other punters cars the admission should be less than 33quid!

I don't believe it's affected all of them, only about a third. Even then Porsche has asked them to be brought in for inspection, only if the parts are found to need replacing are they taken "off the road" whilst they replace the part.
