Sorry if this is already covered, I couldn't find a thread on here.

We've a few cars in the family and I tend to do the cleaning of them. I've noticed that the type of carpet in new ones (Tesla and certain areas of a Golf) is utterly terrible to vacuum. I guess just cheaper. It's like the prickly part of velcro and seems almost designed to hold sand, pine needles etc. There is a no real pile to it.

I've a powerful vacuum and different brushes but wondering if anyone else has noticed this and has any tips? Sometimes I've spent ages and it still looks rubbish with bits stuck!

Stiff brush and a good vac is all you can do really and a lot of patience!
Proper fitting mats help keep most of it off the main carpet but i do experience what you describe.
