Does such a thing exist? The visitors are not UK resident so that rules out everything I've found so far. They could get something in their home country, but a bit late for that...

All we need is a card that can be used for contactless payments - can be prepaid (don't need S75 or even FSCS).

Any ideas?

Sorry that might be not much use as you still have to go to a card issuer. Seems crazy as it noting more than a gift card but guess there must be some traceability if Mastercard a responsible for the transaction.

Do you know these visitors or can trust them? Can you lend them a debit card of yours preloaded with their readies with a changed PIN and maybe turn off gambling and online use? Least you can keep tabs if it being used responsibly.

Would something like Revolut be an option? They could sign up to an account in their own country from here, and get (immediately) a virtual card which can be added into Apple/Google Pay for contactless payments via a smartphone.

They're meant to be for kids, but a GoHenry card would do what you need.

You load money via an app and have a contactless card

Hi, thanks for the suggestions. Yes, they're trustworthy! GoHenry is a good shout but technically is only for under 18s (though I can't see how they can check).

https://help.starlingbank.com/personal/topics/conn... (which I found by searching for gohenry alternatives!) looks like the most plausible at the moment - no limits on who the card can go to.

It requires a Starling account, and costs £2/month but otherwise doesn't seem too bad (limited to having £200 available to spend at any time but that should be okay). I think there's a thread on here about Starling which I'll go and read now...
