Hi, does anybody have a good recommendation for an outdoor car cover supplier, I recently brought one from a company who turned out to be a cover company for a crowd in Hong Kong. Not that that was the issue if it had been a quality product.

When it arrived it was cheap tat, it took 6 weeks not the promised week and to boot the "Tailored Cover" would have fitted a land cruiser!. So after being completely disappointed not getting the promised refund - handing the whole mess over to Barclaycard and still having the tat on my front door step. I still need a decent quality cover. The car will not be outside most of the time but when it is I want to be able to protect it properly.

Any thoughts about Decent Suppliers/Covers - also UK company!

OH! and CarLover - don't you dare respond!

Ive had 3 outdoor covers for different cars from Specialised over the last 20 years. https://www.specialisedcovers.com/

Great quality and a perfect tailored fit.

Their 'painted car cover' is interestingly bizarre!

I have their 'Stormshield Outdoor' cover. It may be the best available but it's not perfect. Being breathable means it's not waterproof - the car will be damp after a good rainfall. The elastic goes loose after 3-4 years increasing the risk of flapping and blowing off if the wind gets under it. Also note it's not tailored, the shape is very much an approximation (DB9). On the plus side they put a logo on the front for £30 which is a nice touch and very affordable. A nice company to deal with.

I also have a £99 special from China which sounds like the OPs - when on the car it looks like a giant bin-liner. But I got my money back and was allowed to keep it. I'm slightly concerned that the lining is very thin and might mark the car in windy weather, but it's 100% waterproof and the elastic is tighter.

I've only just seen those printed covers...unique maybe but not one of my requirements, plain grey is just fine smile

My outdoor cover for a Vantage Roadster is well tailored, and follows the lines of the car really well, its about 8 years old and still feels fairly new. I dont use it daily though, only during longer periods of inactivity, or when I want to clean the car and keep it clean for a special occasion.

My Stormshield outdoor cover is VERY snug on the car - it’s clearly tailored for the Vantage Coupe. The outline of the car is immediately obvious.

There are several under-body straps that I use when it’s likely to be windy - they hold the cover very tightly, to the point where there is no movement in the cover when the wind picks up

Not cheap, but I’ve been very pleased with it.

Did you ever find the miniscule transmitters ?
Clever how the Chinese get these into the UK, knowing that the product will be rejected, but probably still be used out of doors (micro photocell charging) and gradually forming a xxx network.

Make sure if you happen to be near the cover, talking about your tasty duck a l’orange, that you never say it was rubbery.
There are still vacancies for agency waiters, but this applicant failed the selection process by making a few minor indiscretions.
It was all most unfortunate, but there was a slight translation misunderstanding about canapés and probably dropping the main course did not help.

Is your car always outside or do you have a garage?
Did you have any problems with condensation inside with the cover?
