Hello,

I am new here.

Does anyone here own or used to own these watches?

How is/was the accuracy of the automatic and how long did you have the watch?

Any experiences of owning the quartz version?

Thank you.

I have a Formula 1 calibre 16 auto. Owned it about a year. I don't wear it all the time but when I do it seems to keep its accuracy very well. A very nice watch, sadly most assume being a Tag it's a quartz, not an auto, and don't appreciate it for what it is.

Hi i owned a Gulf F1 quartz for quite a while . It had a repair under warrenty as it stopped it then stopped again and later on it needed another repair and a new crown .
I used to wear it to LeMans 24 only in the later years .
Sold it for more than I paid for it though.

Had a couple of formula 1 tags and accuracy been found to be really good. Not had an auto to compare. Toying with getting another but a lot of the ones I like are auto. Only get worn of a weekend so not sure if I’ll get fed up it’s changing time every time I wear it unless I get a watch winder.

Hello new person smile

Yes, I have two SII TAG Heuer F1’s. Both early 1990’s models and both purchased from a Japanese eBay seller who specialises in them whom I’d have no concerns recommending.

The original straps have been replaced, as has the battery on my Wife’s model. Besides that, absolutely no problems with them and I wear mine for work most days, (other days I wear a Sturmanskie 3133). My work is physical, so the watch gets plenty of knocks.

Both watches keep very good time. In fact, besides when the clocks change in Spring / Autumn, I can’t remember the last time I had to adjust them. We’ve owned both watches for about five years now.

The Wife’s is the one on the left with the pink accents, mine is the one on the right with the yellow accents.

I've had these two since the late 80's. Used to wear the F1 everyday for work so is showing a bit of wear and tear but really still love it. It is small though by modern tastes so really only suits a small wrist.

Have a couple more Tags as well.

I have a late 90's F1 Chrono with the rubber bumpers, which is showing it's age, but I still really like it. It's a shame that Tag didn't sell replacement bumpers.

Also have a quartz 2016 model Chrono, which was my first nice watch and one of my go to's because I don't have to wind it and I still really like it.
