996 alarm has been triggered by loud music at neighbour’s wedding party. Trouble is I’m away. Does anyone know how often the alarm/siren will sound if no one uses the key fob to stop it? Battery is connected to trickle feed so not worried about that side of things. If it’s going to go off every hour till I get home however…

996 alarms are a constant bugbear of mine. They are easily triggered when the main battery voltage drops below a certain threshold. The alarm then pulls a reasonable current draw, fully flattening the battery in a few hours below a voltage that is able to drive the alarm horn…

I can only imagine as you have your car on a trickle charger, that the alarm will just keep sounding…

Having said that, as you suspect it’s loud nearby noise that’s triggered it, once that noise is over, the alarm shouldn’t sound again..?

Strange one, as I haven’t experienced loud noise triggering the motion/vibration sensor on the alarm system.

Sorry I can’t be more precise in helping you….
