Hello all,

I have a 2008 AM DB9. I recently took it in for a service and they told me there is a small nick in the seat belt..... true enough - seems so. It's not a huge issue but I don't want it to fray and get worse. They quoted me $3700 AUD to fix this... which is a little too much.

I'm wondering if any of the specialists on here have replaced a seatbelt at all? Does it share a part number with something else ? Preferably something much cheaper?

Try astonmartinbits if its the webbing damaged - a good used one may be the best route (I have never replaced one on the db9 though)

Replacing the entire seat belt mechanism is a fairly easy job, approximately £600 for a new belt mechanism.

Relacing just the webbing would be cheaper but would need a specialist to do it.

Plenty of info here already on this if you search. Can be done for as little as £35 it seems so a decent saving on what you've been quoted.

Plenty of seat belt firms in the UK will change webbing only, eg for a different colour. Not expensive. I would have thought you would find one in Oz.

Re-webbing is straight forward but a specialist job. £50.00 tops here in the UK.
